Job Vacancy – Librarian

SUNBEAM CBSE SCHOOL is looking to hire a Librarian for our school in Veppangal, Pallikonda, Tamil Nadu 635809. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the school library efficiently and promoting reading habits among students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and organize library books, journals, and digital resources
• Maintain library records, cataloguing, and inventory management
• Issue and receive books while maintaining proper documentation
• Guide students in selecting appropriate academic and reference materials
• Develop reading programs and promote literacy initiatives
• Ensure proper maintenance and discipline within the library
• Coordinate with teachers for subject-related reference materials
• Maintain updated records of new arrivals and library resources

Role-Specific Skills Required (Library & Information Management):
• Knowledge of library cataloguing and classification systems
• Ability to manage digital library systems and record keeping
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Interest in promoting reading culture and research skills
• Basic computer proficiency for data management
• Good communication and student-handling skills

Qualification & Experience:
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Lib preferred)
Professional Qualification: As applicable
Experience: Minimum 5 years

Requirements:
• Punctual, responsible, and professional approach
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage library operations independently
• Willingness to attend interview and probation period

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹22,000 per month (based on qualification and experience)
