Job Vacancy – PRT English Teacher
Doon International School is looking to hire a PRT English Teacher for our school in Gurdaspur, Punjab 143521. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering strong foundational English language skills to primary students and supporting their overall academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach English to primary classes as per CBSE curriculum
• Develop lesson plans focusing on grammar, vocabulary, phonics, reading, and writing skills
• Improve students’ spoken English, pronunciation, and communication abilities
• Conduct engaging activities such as storytelling, role play, and creative writing
• Prepare worksheets, assessments, and periodic evaluations
• Maintain student progress records and provide feedback to parents
• Ensure classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
• Participate in school activities and academic meetings
Role-Specific Skills Required (English Language Teaching):
• Strong command over English grammar and language structure
• Expertise in phonics-based learning and early language development
• Ability to enhance reading comprehension and creative writing skills
• Classroom engagement techniques for young learners
• Assessment and evaluation skills as per CBSE standards
• Good spoken English and communication proficiency
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
Professional Qualification: D.El.Ed / B.Ed
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Requirements:
• Punctual, responsible, and professional approach
• Good communication skills (English preferred)
• Ability to handle primary classes independently
• Willingness to attend interview, demo class, and probation period
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on qualification and experience)
