Job Vacancy – Librarian
PATHANIA PUBLIC SCHOOL is inviting applications for the position of Librarian at our campus in Suncity Township-I, Rohtak, Haryana 124001. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the school library efficiently and supporting the academic environment of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and organize library resources including books, journals, and digital materials
• Maintain proper cataloguing, classification, and record-keeping systems
• Assist students and teachers in locating reference materials and research resources
• Promote reading habits and organize library activities, book fairs, and reading programs
• Ensure discipline and a quiet study environment in the library
• Maintain issue/return records and update inventory regularly
• Follow school policies, schedules, and administrative guidelines
• Coordinate with school staff and management for academic support
• Participate in school meetings and events when required
Role-Specific Skills Required (Library & Information Management)
• Knowledge of library cataloguing systems and classification methods
• Familiarity with digital library tools and basic computer applications
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills
• Communication skills to guide students in research and reading selection
• Ability to promote literacy and reading culture among students
Requirements
• Punctual, responsible, and professional in approach
• Good communication skills in English / Hindi / Both
• Willingness to learn and adapt to school processes
• Ready to attend interview and probation period
Qualification & Experience
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
Professional Qualification: B.Ed (preferred)
Experience: 5 years
Salary & Benefits
Salary: ₹22,000 – ₹33,000 per month (based on qualification and experience)
