PGT History Teacher

Key Responsibilities (Structured Format)

Academic Responsibilities:

• Teach History to senior secondary classes as per curriculum
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering historical events, timelines, and concepts
• Prepare students for board examinations and competitive exams

Classroom Management:

• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
• Ensure timely completion of syllabus and assignments
• Conduct assessments and evaluate student performance

Student Development:

• Develop critical thinking and analytical skills through historical analysis
• Encourage discussions, debates, and project-based learning
• Guide students in research work and historical interpretations

Coordination & School Activities:

• Coordinate with teachers, management, and parents
• Participate in meetings, school events, and academic programs
• Follow school policies, schedules, and guidelines

Required Skills

Subject-Specific Skills:

• Strong knowledge of History (ancient, medieval, modern history)
• Ability to explain historical concepts with clarity and context
• Skills in map work, timelines, and analytical interpretation

Additional Skills:

• Lesson planning and classroom management skills
• Computer proficiency (presentations, digital teaching tools)
• Research and analytical abilities

Communication Skills:

• Good communication in English / Hindi / Both

Requirements

• Punctual, responsible, and professional approach
• Strong subject expertise and teaching ability
• Ability to handle senior secondary students effectively
• Willingness to learn and adapt to school processes
• Ready to attend interview, demo (if applicable),and probation period

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum Qualification: Master’s Degree
• Professional Qualification: B.Ed, M.Ed, CTET, STET
• Experience: Minimum 10 years

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹60,000 per month (based on qualification and experience)
