Key Responsibilities

• Teach History to Senior Secondary students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and study materials.
• Develop students' understanding of Ancient, Medieval, Modern Indian, and World History through interactive teaching methods.
• Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, research, debates, presentations, and project-based learning.
• Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback for academic improvement.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create an engaging, inclusive learning environment.
• Guide students in preparing for board examinations and academic competitions.
• Coordinate with school management, fellow teachers, and parents regarding students' academic progress.
• Participate in school assemblies, examinations, staff meetings, workshops, educational trips, and co-curricular activities.
• Follow school policies, academic schedules, and institutional guidelines.

Subject-Specific Skills

• Strong knowledge of Ancient, Medieval, Modern Indian History, World History, Political History, and Historiography.
• Ability to explain historical events using maps, timelines, documentaries, archival resources, and primary sources.
• Experience in preparing students for CBSE/ISC/State Board examinations.
• Ability to integrate current affairs and historical perspectives into classroom discussions.
• Proficiency in using smart classroom technology, digital resources, and educational software.

Required Skills

• Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management abilities.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Effective lesson planning, assessment, and student mentoring skills.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Master's Degree in History from a recognized university.

Professional Qualification

Candidates with any of the following qualifications will be preferred:

• B.Ed.
• CTET
• STET
• Other relevant teaching certifications.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience as a PGT History Teacher in a recognized school.
