Key Responsibilities

• Teach Economics and Business Studies to Senior Secondary students as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, assignments, case studies, projects, and assessments.
• Develop students' conceptual understanding through practical examples, discussions, and activity-based learning.
• Guide students in understanding economic theories, business principles, financial concepts, and current market trends.
• Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Prepare students for CBSE/ISC/State Board examinations and other academic assessments.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create an engaging, student-centred learning environment.
• Coordinate with school management, fellow teachers, and parents regarding students' academic progress.
• Participate in school assemblies, examinations, workshops, meetings, and co-curricular activities.
• Follow school policies, academic schedules, and institutional guidelines.

Subject-Specific Skills

Economics

• Strong knowledge of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economic Development, Statistics, and Economic Applications.
• Ability to explain economic concepts using real-world examples, data interpretation, and graphical analysis.
• Knowledge of current economic trends, government policies, and global economic issues.

Business Studies

• Thorough understanding of Principles of Management, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Environment, and Entrepreneurship.
• Ability to teach business concepts through case studies, presentations, and practical applications.
• Experience in preparing students for board examinations and project work.

Required Skills

• Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Effective lesson planning, assessment, and student mentoring abilities.

• Proficiency in smart classroom technology and digital teaching resources.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Master's Degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Studies, or a related discipline from a recognized university.

Professional Qualification

Candidates with any of the following qualifications will be preferred:

• B.Ed.
• CTET
• STET
• Other relevant teaching certifications.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience as a PGT Economics and/or Business Studies Teacher in a recognized school.
