Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to middle and senior secondary students as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, assessments, and study materials.
• Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and spoken English skills.
• Encourage creative writing, debates, group discussions, public speaking, and literary activities.
• Assess students' academic performance regularly and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Prepare students for school examinations, board examinations, and English Olympiads or competitions.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Coordinate with school management, fellow teachers, and parents regarding students' academic progress.
• Participate in school assemblies, examinations, workshops, staff meetings, and co-curricular activities.
• Follow school policies, academic schedules, and institutional guidelines.

Subject-Specific Skills

• Strong command of English Grammar, Literature, Vocabulary, Composition, and Communication Skills.
• Ability to teach prose, poetry, drama, comprehension, creative writing, and language skills effectively.
• Expertise in improving students' pronunciation, fluency, presentation, and public speaking abilities.
• Experience in preparing students for CBSE/ICSE/State Board examinations.
• Proficiency in using smart classroom technology, digital learning platforms, and educational resources.
• Ability to integrate project-based learning, storytelling, and interactive classroom activities into English lessons.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in English or a related discipline from a recognized university. Candidates with a Master's Degree in English will be preferred for the PGT role.

Professional Qualification

Candidates with any of the following qualifications will be preferred:

• B.Ed.
• CTET
• STET
• Other relevant teaching certifications.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience as a TGT or PGT English Teacher in a recognized school.
