Job Responsibilities

• Assess the individual learning needs of students with disabilities or special educational requirements and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
• Prepare and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on students' strengths, challenges, and learning goals.
• Deliver specialized instruction using differentiated teaching methodologies to support students with diverse learning abilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment methods for inclusive education.
• Monitor students' academic, behavioural, social, and emotional progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Provide remedial instruction and learning support to help students achieve their educational objectives.
• Identify learning barriers and recommend suitable accommodations, modifications, and assistive learning strategies.
• Work closely with parents, teachers, school counsellors, and school leadership to ensure the holistic development of students.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, case discussions, staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school activities.
• Promote an inclusive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student confidence and participation.
• Stay updated with current special education practices, inclusive education policies, and educational technologies.
• Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school from time to time.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of inclusive education, learning disabilities, and special educational needs.
• Knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to identify learning challenges and implement effective intervention strategies.
• Strong communication and counselling skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies, differentiated instruction, and inclusive teaching methodologies.
• Strong organisational, documentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting every learner's educational journey.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory.
• CTET/STET will be preferred.
• Qualification in Special Education or relevant certification recognised by the appropriate statutory authority will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Special Educator in a recognised school or educational institution.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Benefits and other facilities will be provided as per the school's policies.
