Job Responsibilities

• Teach Social Science subjects, including History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, projects, and assessments to support effective classroom learning.
• Develop students' understanding of historical events, geographical concepts, democratic values, economic principles, and current affairs through interactive teaching methods.
• Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, research, and active classroom discussions.
• Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback to support continuous academic improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, academic progress, and classroom activities.
• Create a disciplined, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity and lifelong learning.
• Integrate digital teaching tools, maps, charts, case studies, and multimedia resources to enhance classroom instruction.
• Guide students in project work, exhibitions, quizzes, and other academic activities related to Social Science.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress, behaviour, and overall development.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to implement academic programmes and school initiatives.
• Participate actively in examinations, faculty meetings, school events, training programmes, educational excursions, and co-curricular activities.
• Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school from time to time.

Required Skills

• Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and Social Studies.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to make social science concepts engaging through discussions, activities, maps, and real-life examples.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and student assessment.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Familiarity with digital teaching tools, smart classroom technology, and modern teaching methodologies.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional development.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognised university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory.
• CTET/STET qualification will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience in a recognised school.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
