Job Responsibilities

• Teach the assigned subject at the senior secondary level in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, practical activities, laboratory exercises (where applicable),projects, and assessments.
• Deliver engaging classroom instruction using innovative, technology-enabled, and student-centred teaching methodologies.
• Develop students' conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, scientific temperament, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback to support continuous academic improvement.
• Prepare students for CBSE board examinations, competitive examinations, Olympiads, and other academic competitions.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, academic progress, and classroom documentation.
• Create a disciplined, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that promotes active participation and academic excellence.
• Guide students in practical work, research projects, laboratory activities, and subject enrichment programmes.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to implement academic programmes and institutional initiatives.
• Participate actively in examinations, faculty meetings, workshops, school events, training programmes, and co-curricular activities.
• Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school from time to time.

Required Skills

PGT Chemistry

• Strong knowledge of physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry with expertise in laboratory practices and experimental techniques.
• Ability to simplify complex chemical concepts through demonstrations and practical applications.

PGT Physics

• Excellent understanding of mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, modern physics, and practical laboratory work.
• Ability to develop scientific inquiry and analytical thinking through concept-based teaching.

PGT Biology

• Strong command of botany, zoology, genetics, biotechnology, ecology, and human physiology.
• Ability to integrate practical experiments, case studies, and scientific advancements into classroom teaching.

PGT Mathematics

• Excellent knowledge of algebra, calculus, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, probability, statistics, and advanced mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop students' logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and problem-solving skills.

General Skills

• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and student assessment.
• Familiarity with digital teaching tools, smart classroom technology, and modern pedagogical practices.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional development.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Master's Degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory.
• M.Ed., CTET, and STET qualifications will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience as a PGT in a recognised school.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹60,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
