Job Responsibilities

• Teach English to primary school students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments.
• Deliver engaging, activity-based, and student-centred lessons that enhance language learning and classroom participation.
• Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, phonics, comprehension, and creative writing skills.
• Foster effective communication, confidence, and a lifelong interest in reading and literature.
• Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide timely feedback for continuous academic improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, academic progress, and classroom documentation.
• Create a safe, disciplined, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment that supports holistic learning.
• Integrate digital teaching tools, smart classroom technology, and innovative educational practices into daily instruction.
• Encourage participation in storytelling, reading programmes, debates, recitation, creative writing, and other literary activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school management to implement academic programmes and school initiatives.
• Participate actively in faculty meetings, workshops, training programmes, examinations, school events, and co-curricular activities.
• Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school management.

Required Skills

• Strong command of English language, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of phonics, language development, and child-centred teaching methodologies.
• Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to create interactive and activity-based learning experiences for young learners.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and student assessment.
• Familiarity with smart classroom technology, digital learning platforms, and modern educational practices.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and time management abilities.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to academic excellence and holistic child development.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in English or a related discipline from a recognised university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory.
• CTET/STET qualification will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience as a Primary English Teacher in a recognised school.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹28,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
