Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct Physical Education classes in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyle habits, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship among students.
• Train students in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, athletics, fitness activities, yoga, and recreational games.
• Organise inter-house, inter-school, district, and state-level sports competitions, annual sports meets, and fitness programmes.
• Identify, mentor, and prepare talented students for competitive sporting events and tournaments.
• Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safety of sports equipment, playgrounds, and physical education facilities.
• Conduct fitness assessments and monitor students' physical development and participation.
• Educate students on health, nutrition, personal fitness, injury prevention, and sports ethics.
• Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during physical education classes, sports practice sessions, and outdoor activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and school management to organise sports events, assemblies, and co-curricular programmes.
• Participate actively in faculty meetings, workshops, training programmes, school events, and institutional activities.
• Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of physical education, sports coaching, fitness training, and health education.
• Ability to coach students in multiple sports and athletic disciplines.
• Excellent leadership, motivational, and team-building skills.
• Strong organisational and event management abilities.
• Knowledge of sports safety procedures, first aid, and injury prevention.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Ability to encourage student participation and foster a positive sporting culture.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to holistic student development and physical well-being.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.
• B.P.Ed. or M.P.Ed. is mandatory.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Physical Education Teacher, PTI, or Sports Instructor in a recognised school.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
