Job Responsibilities

• Teach Punjabi language in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments.
• Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills in Punjabi.
• Encourage creative writing, storytelling, recitation, debates, cultural activities, and literary appreciation.
• Deliver engaging, interactive, and student-centred lessons using modern teaching methodologies.
• Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback for continuous academic improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, academic progress, and classroom documentation.
• Create a disciplined, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that promotes active learning.
• Integrate smart classroom technology and digital learning resources into classroom instruction.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school management to implement academic programmes and organise school events.
• Participate actively in examinations, faculty meetings, workshops, training programmes, cultural programmes, and co-curricular activities.
• Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school management.

Required Skills

• Strong command of Punjabi language, grammar, literature, pronunciation, and communication.
• Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to deliver interactive and activity-based language lessons.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and student assessment.
• Familiarity with smart classroom technology and digital teaching tools.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and time management abilities.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Punjabi or the relevant discipline from a recognised university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory.
• CTET/STET qualification will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience as a Punjabi Language Teacher in a recognised school.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹37,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
