Job Responsibilities
- Teach English or Economics to senior secondary students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and CBSE academic standards.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching resources, assignments, projects, presentations, and assessment materials.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and technology-enabled classroom instruction using modern pedagogical practices.
- Develop students' analytical thinking, communication skills, critical reasoning, and subject knowledge through practical and concept-based learning.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations, competitive examinations, Olympiads, debates, seminars, and other academic activities.
- Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback for continuous academic improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, examinations, assessments, and student progress.
- Foster a disciplined, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and active participation.
- Mentor students in academic planning, career guidance, and overall personality development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic performance and holistic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to implement academic initiatives and institutional programmes.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, workshops, training programmes, examinations, school events, and co-curricular activities.
- Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school.
Required Skills
PGT English
- Excellent command of English language, grammar, literature, creative writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop students' reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong expertise in preparing students for CBSE Board examinations and language enrichment programmes.
PGT Economics
- Strong knowledge of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, and the Indian Economy.
- Ability to explain economic concepts using real-life examples, case studies, graphs, and data analysis.
- Expertise in preparing students for board examinations and commerce-related academic competitions.
General Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and student assessment.
- Familiarity with smart classroom technology, digital learning platforms, and modern teaching methodologies.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Professional attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree in English, Economics, or the relevant subject from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- CTET/STET qualification will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience as a PGT in a recognised school.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹60,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
