Job Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and supervise the school's physical education and sports programmes in accordance with institutional objectives.
• Train and coach students in various indoor and outdoor sports while promoting fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Identify and nurture talented athletes, preparing them for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
• Develop annual sports calendars, training schedules, tournaments, sports camps, and fitness programmes.
• Organise annual sports day, athletic meets, inter-house competitions, and other sporting events.
• Maintain sports equipment, playgrounds, gymnasium, and other sports facilities, ensuring safety and proper usage.
• Assess students' physical fitness and monitor their progress through regular evaluations.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, physical well-being, and injury prevention among students.
• Coordinate with school management, teachers, parents, and external sports organisations for sports development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during all sports activities and maintain discipline on the playground.
• Participate in faculty meetings, school events, training programmes, and other institutional activities.
• Perform additional administrative and sports-related responsibilities assigned by the school.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of physical education, sports coaching techniques, and fitness training.
• Expertise in organising sports events, tournaments, and athletic competitions.
• Ability to coach students in multiple sports and promote teamwork, leadership, and discipline.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills in English and Hindi.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and event management abilities.
• Knowledge of sports safety protocols, injury prevention, and first aid practices.
• Ability to maintain sports facilities and manage sports equipment effectively.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to developing student athletes and promoting holistic education.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.
• B.P.Ed. or M.P.Ed. is mandatory.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Sports Director, Sports Coach, Physical Education Teacher, or Sports Coordinator in a recognised school or educational institution.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Benefits and other facilities will be provided as per the school's policies.
