Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging dance classes for students across different grade levels in accordance with the school's co-curricular programme.
• Teach one or more dance forms such as Classical, Folk, Contemporary, Western, Bollywood, Creative Dance, or other recognised styles based on the school's requirements.
• Develop students' rhythm, coordination, flexibility, creativity, stage confidence, and overall performance skills.
• Choreograph performances for annual functions, cultural festivals, assemblies, competitions, and other school events.
• Prepare lesson plans and structured training programmes that support progressive skill development.
• Identify talented students and provide specialised coaching for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
• Ensure the safe use and maintenance of dance studios, costumes, props, music systems, and other equipment.
• Encourage discipline, teamwork, self-expression, confidence, and appreciation for performing arts.
• Assess students' performance regularly and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with teachers and school management in organising cultural events and extracurricular activities.
• Participate actively in faculty meetings, workshops, training programmes, school events, and institutional activities.
• Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school from time to time.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of one or more recognised dance forms and choreography techniques.
• Excellent demonstration, presentation, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to design creative dance routines for students of different age groups.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Creativity in planning performances for cultural programmes and competitions.
• Ability to motivate students while promoting discipline, teamwork, and confidence.
• Good organisational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Professional attitude with a passion for performing arts and student development.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.
• Diploma, certification, or professional training in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related discipline will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Dance Teacher, Choreographer, or Performing Arts Instructor in a recognised school, academy, or educational institution.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Benefits and other facilities will be provided as per the school's policies.
