Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and qualified TGT Chemistry Teacher to teach Chemistry and relevant Science concepts to middle and high school students. The candidate should be able to make Chemistry interesting and easy to understand through practical demonstrations, laboratory activities, experiments, and engaging teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective Chemistry and Science lessons for middle and high school students.

Teach concepts according to the prescribed curriculum and academic requirements.

Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessment materials.

Conduct laboratory experiments, practical demonstrations, and hands-on activities.

Develop students' conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and scientific thinking.

Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and board examinations.

Conduct regular tests, assessments, assignments, and remedial classes where required.

Monitor and maintain accurate records of students' academic progress.

Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.

Encourage participation in science exhibitions, projects, quizzes, and competitions.

Ensure proper laboratory discipline and follow appropriate safety procedures during practical sessions.

Maintain a positive, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment.

Communicate effectively with parents and coordinate with other teachers regarding student progress.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, school events, and other academic activities.

Make effective use of digital teaching tools and educational technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a relevant Science discipline.

B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred/required as per school norms.

Previous teaching experience in middle school and/or high school will be an advantage.

Strong subject knowledge and good communication skills.

Ability to manage students effectively with patience and professionalism.

Preferred Skills

Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts and laboratory practices.

Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and practical manner.

Good classroom and laboratory management skills.

Creative, activity-based, and student-centred teaching approach.
