Job Description
The Red Bear House is looking for a creative, caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher who can create a joyful, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate should have strong English communication skills, clear pronunciation and phonics knowledge, along with the creativity and patience required to engage children in meaningful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and effectively implement the school's Nursery curriculum and lesson plans.
- Plan and conduct engaging, age-appropriate activities based on children's interests and developmental needs.
- Conduct activities involving storytelling, rhymes, music, movement, phonics, art & craft, sensory play and hands-on learning.
- Demonstrate good English-speaking skills, pronunciation and basic phonics concepts while interacting with children.
- Encourage children's communication, vocabulary, confidence, creativity and social skills.
- Plan and execute creative artwork and craft activities suitable for Nursery-age children.
- Prepare and coordinate classroom activities, celebrations, special days and school events.
- Maintain an organized, stimulating and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Manage the classroom effectively with patience, positive reinforcement and age-appropriate discipline.
- Ensure the safety, hygiene and well-being of children throughout the school day.
- Observe children's participation and progress and communicate relevant observations with parents and the school team.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure a positive learning experience for every child.
- Take initiative in bringing new creative ideas, activities and learning experiences into the classroom.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience working with Nursery / Pre-Primary / Kindergarten children preferred.
- Excellent spoken English and pronunciation.
- Good understanding of phonics and early literacy.
- Creative, energetic and enthusiastic about working with young children.
- Strong classroom management and activity-planning skills.
- Patient, caring and approachable personality.
- Ability to plan and execute events, celebrations, artwork and creative classroom activities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Candidates with NTT / ECCE / Montessori / Early Childhood Education qualifications will be preferred.
