Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging dance classes for students of different age groups.

• Teach dance techniques, rhythm, body movements and coordination.

• Train students in classical, folk, contemporary or other dance forms as per expertise.

• Prepare choreography for annual functions, cultural celebrations and school events.

• Organise rehearsals and guide students for stage performances and competitions.

• Encourage creativity, confidence and artistic expression through dance.

• Identify students' talents and provide guidance to improve their skills.

• Maintain discipline and ensure safety during practice sessions.

• Collaborate with teachers to organise cultural and extracurricular programmes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree, diploma or recognised certification in Dance or Performing Arts.

• Practical knowledge of relevant dance styles and choreography.

• Good teaching, communication and performance skills.

• Creative, energetic and patient approach towards working with children.

• Ability to manage group practice sessions and prepare students for performances.

• Previous experience as a Dance Teacher, preferably in a school, will be an advantage.
