Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to students facing academic, emotional or behavioural challenges.

• Help students develop confidence, positive attitudes and healthy interpersonal relationships.

• Identify students who may need additional emotional, social or academic support.

• Conduct age-appropriate counselling sessions and student awareness programmes.

• Guide students in managing stress, anxiety, peer pressure and personal difficulties.

• Coordinate with teachers and parents to support students' overall development.

• Maintain confidential counselling records and monitor students' progress.

• Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment.

• Recommend specialised professional support whenever necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology or a relevant discipline.

• Professional training or qualification in counselling will be preferred.

• Knowledge of child psychology, adolescent development and counselling techniques.

• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy, patience and confidentiality.

• Previous experience in school counselling or a similar educational setting will be an advantage.
