Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.

• Organise, catalogue and maintain books, journals, reference materials and other resources.

• Assist students and teachers in locating books and relevant learning materials.

• Promote reading habits through library activities and reading programmes.

• Maintain records of book issues, returns, new acquisitions and library inventory.

• Ensure library resources are properly arranged and accessible.

• Guide students in using reference materials and developing research skills.

• Maintain a quiet, welcoming and student-friendly library environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc. / M.Lib.Sc.) or an equivalent relevant qualification.

• Good knowledge of library management and cataloguing systems.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital library resources.

• Strong organisational and communication abilities.

• Interest in promoting reading and learning among children.

• Previous experience in a school library will be preferred.
